V-Ray Proxy Tools

Proxy Tools is another one of my most used scripts. It allows you to control the display modes of V-Ray proxies in your scene. This tool has speed up my workflow on large scenes 10 fold. Any scene with large numbers of proxies will benefit from using this tool.

As you can see in the screenshot above their are very few controls. You can easily hide and show proxies as well as change there display mode. If you have suggestions for any additions to Proxy Tools please let me know.

You can download it here:

Great stuff… simple but so useful!
What I think would be good now that you have a few of these handy little scripts, is a floating dialogue box with them all in it. “Dave’s Toolbox” :)
I”m running out of room in my toolbar haha.
    Cheers.

It’s the second time that I make same question.
How I do install this script do ? Where I do put mcr and ms files do ?
Please, I wait your answer by this way or pm.
    Thanks.

All you need to do is copy the .ms file to you 3dsmaxroot/scripts directory. Once you have done just run the macro script. You can now add Proxy Tools to a menu, quad or key. The script will be under the category “Daves Tools”.

    Thanks,
    Dave

I’ve installed it on max 2012. I find that the “Selected Proxies” option doesn’t work in 2012, it just switches all of the proxies. Is it that it hasn’t been updated for max 2012?

Yes, the same happens here. I’m on max 2011 updated to SP3 and the “selected proxies” option doesn’t work, instead it works on all proxies.
